What Did I Watch? ("the App") is developed by Sara Nazari. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
The App collects the following information solely to provide its core functionality:
Search descriptions: When you describe a movie or show, your text is sent to our server to identify what you're looking for. Descriptions are processed in real time and are not stored after the response is returned.
Device identifier: A random, anonymous device identifier is used to enforce daily search limits. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, photos, contacts, or any other personal information. The App does not use cookies or third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
The App uses the following third-party services to function:
Anthropic (Claude AI): Your search descriptions are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to identify movies and shows. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
TMDB (The Movie Database): Movie and show information (posters, ratings, overviews) is retrieved from TMDB. TMDB's privacy policy is available at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
Apple (StoreKit): In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. The App does not process or store any payment information.
The App does not permanently store any user data on its servers. Search descriptions are processed in real time and discarded. The anonymous device identifier and daily usage count are held in memory only and reset when the server restarts.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The App is suitable for all ages.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
